Figure 16 shows the calculated enthalpy of mixing of liquid Fe-Lu alloys at 1,950 K with the measured
results and the calculations . A significant deviation between the calculations and the experimental

Figure 18 depicts the calculated enthalpy of formation of the Fe-Lu compounds at 298 K with the measured

calculated to be -3.69, -8.762, -10.615, and -11.957 kJ/mol-atom, respectively. The presently calculated
enthalpy of formation of Fe Lu is in accordance with the measured data , while the calculated that of
