Thoughts about cutting or hurting their chest, genitals, or surrounding areas
Question 8 of the GCLS presents the item “I have thought about cutting or hurting my chest, genitals, and/
or surrounding areas.” As shown in Figure 6, the majority of participants had never thought about cutting
or hurting their chest, genitals, or surrounding areas. A small proportion of the participants reported rarely
having these thoughts, whereas even fewer reported sometimes or often having such thoughts. The data
