global goal of zero human dog-mediated rabies deaths by 2030, there is an urgent need for the adoption of
the One Health approach involving all the concerned stakeholders in implementing rabies education
programmes, free mass dog vaccination, rabies surveillance, enforcement of dog’s law and extensive supply
of free or subsidised human rabies vaccines.
