Special Issue Introduction
Non-coding RNAs, including microRNAs (miRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), and circular RNAs
(circRNAs), have emerged as critical players in the orchestration of drug resistance mechanisms in various
cancer types. This Special Issue aims to gather articles presenting new insights into the mechanisms through
which non-coding RNAs regulate drug resistance in tumors, explore potential targets for overcoming drug
resistance, and develop more effective strategies to overcome cancer drug resistance.
Proposed topics include, but are not limited to:
1. New insights into the resistance mechanisms of non-coding RNAs;
2. Non-Coding RNAs in Immunotherapy Resistance;
3. Non-coding RNAs in mediating resistance to targeted therapies, including the activation of alternative
signaling pathways and secondary mutations;
4. Epigenetic Regulation by Non-Coding RNAs, including DNA methylation and histone acetylation, to
mediate drug resistance;
5. The clinical relevance of non-coding RNAs in predicting drug resistance, and their potential as diagnostic
and prognostic biomarkers;
6. Innovative approaches to target non-coding RNAs for overcoming drug resistance;
7. The use of non-coding RNAs, such as circulating miRNAs and lncRNAs, as non-invasive biomarkers for
monitoring drug resistance and treatment response; etc.
