               Statistical analysis
               The mean ages of the two patient groups were compared by the Mann-Whitney U-test. Other categorical
               variables were compared by the chi-squared test. When the expected values were too small to be analyzed
               by the chi-squared test, the Fisher exact test or Yates continuity correction was used for the comparison.
               Statistical analysis was performed by Microsoft Excel 2010 (Microsoft, Redmond, WA, USA). P < 0.05 was
               considered statistically significant.
