Special Issue Introduction
Sinonasal malignancies make up <5% of all head and neck neoplasms, with an incidence of 0.556 per
100,000 individuals per year. The management of sinonasal cancers is challenging because of their rarity,
diverse biologic behavior, and proximity to vital structures such as the orbit and the brain. This Special Issue
aims to provide a contemporary overview of advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of patients
with sinonasal cancers. Topics covered include histopathologic classification, advanced imaging techniques,
surgical approaches including endoscopic and open surgery, modern conformal radiation therapy, and the
emerging role of neoadjuvant and adjuvant systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and
targeted therapy.
