                                           Dr. Geller is the Richard L. Simmons Professor of Surgery at  the
                                           University  of  Pittsburgh  School  of  Medicine,  and Director  of
                                           the UPMC Liver Cancer Center. As a hepatobiliary surgical oncologist,
             his clinical interests center on the evaluation and management of patients with liver cancers.


             He  has  pioneered  laparoscopic  liver  resection  surgery,  having  performed  more  than 1,060  such
             cases  with  his  team.  Most  of  these  patients  are  discharged  home  on  the second  postoperative
             day  with  only  4-5  bandage-sized  incisions.  Dr.  Geller  also specializes  in  laparoscopic
             radiofrequency ablation of liver tumors.


             He  is  an  active  member  of  many  professional  and  scientific  societies,  including  the Society of
             Surgical Oncology,  the  Society  of  University  Surgeons,  and  the  American Society of Transplant
             Surgeons.



             Dr. Geller has published 320 scientific papers and book chapters. A frequent guest lecturer,  he
             has presented on the management of liver tumors at more than 410 national and international
             meetings and seminars. He currently holds active research grants  from  the  NIH  and  serves  as
             Principal Investigator for several industry-sponsored clinical trials in liver cancer.
