Zeng-Guang Hou serves as Deputy Director of the State Key
Laboratory of Management and Control for Complex Systems;
a core member of the Brain Science and Intelligent Technology
Excellence Innovation Center at CAS, and the leader of the
medical robotics cluster within the “2035 Innovation Team” at the
CAS Institute of Artificial Intelligence. He is an IEEE Fellow.
He has collaborated on international cooperation projects funded
by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the
Prof. Zeng-Guang Hou Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and the European
Institute of Automation, Union, with institutions such as ETH Zurich (Switzerland),
Chinese Academy of Auckland University of Technology (AUT, New Zealand),
Sciences, Beijing, China. Bournemouth University (UK), and the Chinese University of
Hong Kong. Prof. Hou has also carried out interdisciplinary
medical-engineering research with institutions including the
China Rehabilitation Research Center, the National Research
Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids, Peking Union Medical
College Hospital, etc.
He has published over 100 academic papers and holds more
than 30 authorized invention patents. He has received numerous
prestigious awards, including the Second Prize of the National
Natural Science Award, the First Prize of the Beijing Natural
Science Award, the Yang Jiachi Science and Technology Award,
the First Prize of the Wu Wenjun Natural Science Award from
the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI),
the First Prize of the Technological Invention Award from
the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), the Excellent
Mentor Award from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Zhu
Liyuehua Outstanding Teacher Award, the IEEE Transactions on
Neural Networks Outstanding Paper Award, and the Outstanding
Achievement Award from the Asia-Pacific Neural Network
Society (APNNS).
