              Guest Editor 1: Prof. Ugolino Livi



















              Prof. Ugolino Livi, MD, FETCS, is a  Full  Professor of Cardiac  Surgery at  Medical  School-University of Udine,
              Chairman of the Cardiothoracic Department and Director of the Cardio Surgery Unit and Transplantation Programme
              at the University Hospital in Udine, Italy. He made his training in cardiac surgery at University of Padua, Italy, where
              he became Assistant Professor, and in the UK for two years with Mr. D. Ross and Prof. Sir M. Yacoub. Currently, he is
              teaching at University of Trieste and Udine.

              Prof. Ugolino Livi has been on the Editorial Board of Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation (Associate Editor),
              Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine, Italian Heart Journal, Journal of Cardiobiology and Giornale  Italiano di
              Cardiologia, and is a reviewer for several other international ones. He has been a member of the Board of Directors
              ISHLT, a councilor of ESOT and SITO, and a member of Domain EACTS. He is the author of more than 300 papers
              published in International journals and a presenter of several lectures at main congresses. His research interests include
              valve replacement or plasty, aortic pathology, cardio-pulmonary transplantation and mechanical circulatory assistance.

              Guest Editor 2: Prof. Gianfranco Sinagra



















              Prof. Gianfranco Sinagra is Head of CV Dept at University Hospital of Trieste, a Full Professor Cardiology, FESC
              and an expert in the field of Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies. He focuses his research on precision medicine for
              diagnosis and prognostic stratification of CMPthies as well as Inflammatory CMPthies with regard to endomyocardial
              biopsy and immunosuppression with a special interest in cardiac imaging applied to prognostic stratification. He is also
              actively involved in research on genetic mutations and related clinical implications.
