                                           Dr. Manel Sabaté is Chief of the Interventional Cardiology Department at the Clinic
                                           University Hospital in Barcelona and Associate Professor of the Central University
                                           of Barcelona. From the clinical point of view, Dr. Sabaté’s interests include diagnosis
                                           and treatment of ischemic and valvular heart disease. He is specifically trained
                                           at  cardiac  catheterization, intravascular imaging and physiology, percutaneous
                                           coronary intervention and treatment of acquired structural heart disease including
                                           transcatheter aortic valve implantation and mitraclip implantation. From the
                                           research point of view, Dr. Sabaté is author of more than 650 papers (h index 74),
                                           >20 book chapters and is the editor of 5 books. He is included in the World’s Top
                                           2% Scientists 2021 and 2022 published by Standford University. He is also included
                                           in the list of the 2024 edition of Research.com ranking of the best researchers in
                                           the arena of Medicine with a position of 15588 in the world. He is member of the
                                           editorial Board of several journals in the specialty and has been the recipient (as a
                                           Principal Investigator or Collaborator) in several competitive grants.
