Vessel selection
Even when the appropriate flap is selected, there is a question regarding the selection of the appropriate
recipient vessel. In this study, the anterior tibial and posterior tibial arteries were the most commonly
chosen. The choice of selection will in part be dictated by vessel injury, anatomy of the defect, and zone of
