                                           At the Arnault Tzanck Institute, Doctor Jean-François
                                           REY founded the Department of Hepato-gastroenterology,
                                           which is internationally renowned for its diagnostic and
                                           therapeutic digestive endoscopy and accredited by the
                                           European Society for Digestive Endoscopy (ESGE) and
                                           the World Organization for Digestive Endoscopy (CORE-
                                           WEO).
                                           Furthermore, Doctor Jean-François REY joined the French
                                           Society for Digestive Endoscopy (SFED) and served as
                                           President in 1990 and is now an honorary member. At
                                           the same time, his union action within the CSMF led him
                                           to assume the presidency of the UMESPE/CSMF for 12
                                           years and thus to participate in the organization of care as
                                           president and negotiator of several medical conventions.
                                           For this, Minister Xavier BERTRAND awarded him the
                                           Legion of Honor in 2012.
                                           Additionally, Doctor Jean-François REY served 15
                                           years in various capacities at the European Society of
                                           Digestive Endoscopy (ESGE), and became president and
                                           an honorary member in 2007. He has made outstanding
                                           contributions in the field of digestive endoscopy and
                                           became president of the World Digestive Endoscopy
                                           Organization (WEO) in 2017 and organized ENDO 2020,
                                           the second world congress of digestive endoscopy. Over
                                           the years, he has contributed to a total of 492 publications.
