Andrea Gropman, M.D., FAAP,
FACMG, FANA, is the principal
investigator affiliated with the Urea
Cycle Disorders Consortium (UCDC)
and the UCDC imaging consortium.
She holds leadership roles in the Rare
Diseases Clinical Research Network
(RDCRN) and genetic, metabolic and
neurology societies. Additionally, Dr.
Gropman serves as the division chief for
Neurogenetics and Neurodevelopmental
Disabilities. Her research primarily
focuses on establishing biomarkers of
neurological injury in patients with
inborn errors of metabolism, such as
Prof. Andrea L. Gropman urea cycle disorders and mitochondrial
disorders. She employed specialized
neuroimaging modalities and cell
markers for this purpose.
