Special Issue introduction:
Dr. Alain Krief, the Emeritus Professor of the University of Namur, has contributed
a lot to the development of selenium organic chemistry, and this field has gained
evolving interest. He also played an important role as Executive Director of the
International Organization for Chemistry Development (IOCD). On his 80th
anniversary, we would like to celebrate his scientific achievements in this fascinating
field.
